Originally released in 1990, the 2020 Retro will come dressed in its signature White, Fire Red, and Black color scheme that will celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the day Michael Jordan scored 69 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The release will look identical to the OG release. Featuring a White leather upper, Silver 3M Reflective tongues, Fire Red accents and Black on the midsole and liner. With its metallic tongue with a reflective coat paired with the lace lock system (the first time used on a Jordan model), the pair was yet another innovation from Tinker Hatfield and his creative brain that wouldn’t settle for anything short of perfection. Other details will include “Nike Air” branding atop a translucent outsole.
How comfortable are Air Jordan 5s?
On a scale of 1-10, I would rate the Jordan 5, 7.5 in terms of comfort. The Jordan 5 silhouette may be heavy, but they’re extremely soft inside, and the tongue is thick and cushiony. For this reason, I would recommend them for those long days when you’re constantly on your feet.
How do you care for Air Jordan 5s?
The Air Jordan 5 is made from nubuck leather; to keep them clean, I spray them with a sneaker protector before wearing them outside. After wearing them, I remove any dirt using a nubuck brush and return them to their original box, mainly so they don’t get dusty.
