The aforementioned, spongey materials takes over the model’s traditional full-leather upper, with dimpling throughout driving a deconstructed aesthetic home. Hits of “Atomic Orange” appear on the tongue, which features a speed-lacing system atop a Blazer Mid ’77-remininscent tongue; upside-down “NIKE AIR” branding on the heel and its accompanying pull tab also indulge in the vibrant citrus tone. Elsewhere, high-vis green labels partially on the spine and midsole nod to the Air Force 1‘s experimental variant, as does the messaging on the sockliners. Underfoot, sole units deliver some semblance of familiarity given their white midsole. Outsoles, however, partake in a slightly-uncommon light blue, semi-translucent finish that ties the arrangement together well.
