Drawing on the different hues and tones you can spot on an actual ironstone itself, this pair is closer to nature than you think.Unlike most Dunk releases, the midsoles are the real talking point surrounding this drop. These blend together much like the rippling effect of “cross-lamination”, a natural occurrence that will take place on the different forms of ironstone. On the other hand, the upper tells of a lighter story, with a bone white and tonal grey suede performing a beautiful balancing act. The usual Nike branding remains present but subtle, letting the colour palette take the lead. While the Nike Dunk is birthed out of the same idea as the Air Max 95 “Ironstone”, it does more than enough to pave its own lane. Also set to be given the “Ironstone” make-up is the Air Max 1.
