Crafted in partnership with Drake’s apparel brand, the NOCTA x Nike Hot Step Air Terra ‘White’ makes use of a tumbled leather upper in a blank-slate finish. A series of diagonal stitched lines, along with perforated detailing, embellish each of the sneaker’s side panels. Jeweled NOCTA branding is displayed atop the tongue, while chrome mini-Swooshes adorn the toe box and lateral heel. The sneaker rides on a matching white foam midsole, featuring sculpted sidewalls and an exposed yellow-tinged Air-sole unit under the heel.
NOCTA‘s apparel collections that have hit the market thus far have reflected the Toronto-bred artist’s affinity for functional and sporty pieces, and it’s with elements of this blended with the retro familiarity of Nike Sportswear‘s catalog that are utilized to create the new sneaker silhouette. Base layers are done up with a minimalistic pebbled leather build that’s anchored by the segmented diagonal panels that make up the sides. Reflective 3M hits are a key component of the kicks as they show face on the lateral and medial walls, heels and down the throat. Heels are shaped with triangular overlays on the sides in a similar fashion to the Nike Air Max Tailwind IV, and branding is present via tiny Swooshes on the lateral heels and lower throat as well as NOCTA’s emblem on the tongue. G-Tek traction technology is integrated into the sole unit to supply wearers with a plushy ride.
